Town 2.0

Town 2.0 is a premium 2cm outdoor porcelain paver designed for patios, rooftops, and pool decks. With frost-proof performance and anti-slip texture, this European-made paver thrives in West Coast weather conditions. Available at our Richmond showroom.

City sidewalks and plazas inspired Town 2.0, a European-made 2cm porcelain paver with a tight, even stone grain in Antracite, Grey and Beige. It is the calm counterpart to more heavily textured pavers: enough surface variation to read as stone, non-repeating from face to face, but quiet overall. Formats are 24x24 and 24x48 inches, sized for patios, paths and terraces.

The 2cm porcelain construction covers the practical side: nearly zero water absorption, so freeze and thaw do no harm, colour that holds under sun, and a textured anti-slip finish for the wet months. No sealing, ever. Town 2.0 suits townhouse patios, commercial entries and modern landscapes across Metro Vancouver where the ground plane should stay simple and let planting or architecture lead.

Where Town 2.0 Works

Urban courtyards

The even, plaza-like face suits compact city outdoor space, laneway house patios and townhouse courtyards, where a busier stone pattern would crowd the small footprint.

Commercial entrances

Anti-slip texture, frost resistance and a non-porous surface that resists staining make it dependable, low-maintenance ground for storefronts, cafes and building approaches that see constant foot traffic.

Pedestal roof decks

The rigid 2cm body rests on adjustable pedestals over membranes, giving condo and office roof terraces a level, understated stone floor with drainage running beneath.

Paths and side yards

In 24x24, the pavers set over gravel or sand for straight, clean-lined walkways that drain freely and can be lifted and relaid if the ground settles.

Design Notes

Pairing & Layout Ideas

Beige warms up against brick and cedar, Grey is the neutral for concrete and stucco, and Antracite draws crisp lines around lawns and groundcover. Town 2.0 works as the connective tissue of a landscape, running paths and patios in one material, while a feature zone switches to the slate texture of Pizarra 2.0 or the wood grain of Timberwood. Match the joint to the paver, grey with grey, sand with Beige, and the surface stays seamless.

FAQ

Town 2.0 Questions

Is Town 2.0 too plain for a home patio?

Its restraint is the point, and in practice a quiet paver flatters gardens and furniture instead of competing with them. If you want more movement underfoot, compare it against Pizarra 2.0's slate texture; seeing the two side by side usually settles the question quickly.

Which base should my installer use?

Any of the standard 2cm methods work: mortar over a sound slab, compacted gravel or sand for ground-level installs, and pedestals for rooftops and balconies. The right choice depends on drainage and what is under the patio now, so have your installer assess the base first.

Will Antracite fade in the sun?

No. Porcelain colour is fired into the tile body, so UV exposure does not bleach it the way it fades composite decking or dyed concrete. The Antracite you lay this year is the Antracite you will have in ten years.

Can I take samples home?

Yes. All three colours are at our Richmond showroom as part of the European paver display, and samples are available to check against your house and garden in daylight. Hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 to 5:30, Saturday 10 to 5.
