Ark
Luxurious Porcelain For Indoors and Outdoors.

Ark
Ark brings luxurious stone aesthetics to outdoor spaces with 2cm thick porcelain pavers.
Ark is an outdoor porcelain paver with the depth and shading of quarried stone, produced in a full 2cm thickness for exterior use. Four colours, Anthracite, Black, Ivory and Silver, cover warm and cool palettes, and the faces are non-repeating, so a broad patio never shows the duplicated pattern that gives printed stone away. Formats run from 24x24 through 24x48 to a generous 48x48 square.
Porcelain earns its place outdoors in this climate. Near-zero water absorption means freeze and thaw cycles pass through a Lower Mainland winter without cracking the surface, and there is no sealing schedule to keep up. The textured anti-slip finish holds footing on wet days. Ark suits homeowners replacing a tired concrete patio as much as builders finishing rooftop decks and courtyards across Metro Vancouver.

Applications
Where Ark Works
Backyard patios
Set over a mortar bed, compacted gravel or sand, the 2cm thickness handles furniture, planters and daily traffic, and works as an overlay where an existing slab is still sound.
Pool surrounds
The textured anti-slip surface keeps wet feet steady, and because porcelain takes on almost no water, the splash zone dries quickly without staining, flaking or moss taking hold.
Rooftop pedestal decks
At 2cm, Ark is rigid enough to rest on adjustable pedestals, creating a level floating deck over a rooftop membrane with no mortar and full access underneath.
Garden walkways
The 24x48 and 48x48 formats cover ground quickly as stepping paths through planting, set on gravel or sand for a permeable base that is easy to adjust later.
Design Notes
Pairing & Layout Ideas
Silver and Ivory keep a small yard bright, while Anthracite and Black ground a modern build with dark window frames. If part of the outdoor plan calls for a wood look, Timberwood runs a warm counterpoint to Ark's stone tones, and Adjustable Height Pedestals carry the same pavers over a rooftop or balcony membrane. Outdoors, use a wider joint, roughly a quarter inch, filled with polymeric sand or an exterior grout in a matching grey.
FAQ
Ark Questions
Which size should I choose for my patio?
Larger formats make a small space feel calmer, so 24x48 is a common pick for typical Vancouver patios. The 48x48 square suits open terraces, while 24x24 is easier to handle on paths and tight side yards. Mixing two sizes in a simple banded layout also works well.
How is a 2cm paver installed?
You have four options: a traditional mortar bed over concrete, compacted gravel, coarse sand, or adjustable pedestals for rooftops and decks. Gravel and sand installs stay permeable and are straightforward to lift and relevel, which many landscapers here prefer for drainage.
Will Ark fade or need sealing?
No on both counts. The colour is fired into the porcelain, so UV exposure does not fade it, and the surface is non-porous, so there is nothing for a sealer to do. An occasional rinse and a wash with mild detergent keeps it looking new.
Can I see Ark before ordering?
Yes. All four colours are on display at our Richmond showroom on Bridgeport Road, and samples are available to take home. Walk-ins are welcome weekdays 9:00 to 5:30 and Saturdays 10 to 5, or call 604-270-4993 to check stock first.
