Venice LF

Venice LF is part of our premium large format tile collection, offering oversized porcelain tiles and slabs that minimize grout lines and create seamless, contemporary surfaces. Available in our Richmond showroom.

Venice LF translates vein cut travertine, with its long horizontal banding, onto large format porcelain panels of 120 x 60 and 120 x 120 cm. The linear grain gives walls and floors a strong sense of direction, stretching rooms visually when laid with the veining running lengthwise. Non-repeating faces keep the banding organic, and the Natural or Polished finishes shift the mood from earthy to tailored.

Genuine travertine is porous and needs filling and sealing; this porcelain version does not. It resists water, staining and wear without any treatment, so the warm travertine character can go into showers, kitchens and entryways that would punish the real stone. For Vancouver-area projects after a Mediterranean or contemporary-organic direction, Venice LF covers large areas with very few joints.

Applications

Where Venice LF Works

Linear feature walls

Stack 120 x 60 cm panels with the banding running horizontally to widen a living room or bedroom wall. The travertine lines do the decorating with no repeat in sight.

Spa-style bathrooms

Wrap walls and floors in the same surface for a calm, monolithic wet room. Choose Natural underfoot for wet-area grip and either finish on the walls.

Great room floors

The 120 x 120 cm format in the Natural finish delivers a warm stone floor that handles family traffic, pets and furniture without sealing or special care.

Fireplace surrounds

Horizontal banding around a linear fireplace reinforces the geometry. Thinner panels from the 6 mm end of the range keep cladding weight low on framed chases.

Design Notes

Pairing & Layout Ideas

Venice LF leans warm, so build around it with oak or walnut cabinetry, linen tones and aged brass or bronze hardware. It shares a travertine sensibility with Florence LF, its cross cut counterpart; using vein cut on walls and cross cut on floors is a classic travertine pairing that works just as well in porcelain. Keep grout in the same warm family and joints tight so the banding flows uninterrupted.

FAQ

Venice LF Questions

What is the difference between vein cut and cross cut travertine?

Vein cut stone is sliced along the bedding plane, exposing long linear bands; cross cut is sliced across it, giving a cloudier, more even pattern. Venice LF captures the vein cut look, so expect strong directional lines rather than soft mottling.

Should the banding run vertically or horizontally?

Horizontal runs widen a wall and suit fireplace surrounds and living spaces; vertical runs add height in bathrooms and entries. Decide before ordering, since the layout affects how panels are cut and how much material you need. Your installer can mock up both.

Does this need sealing like real travertine?

No. Real travertine is riddled with natural voids and needs filling and periodic sealing. Venice LF is porcelain, with near-zero absorption and a fully finished face, so maintenance is a wipe with water and a neutral cleaner. That is much of its appeal.

Where can I compare the two finishes side by side?

Our Richmond BC showroom on Bridgeport Road keeps Venice LF on display so you can see Natural and Polished under the same lighting. Walk in weekdays 9 to 5:30 or Saturday 10 to 5 and the team can pull samples for you.
