Elyt

Elyt is part of our premium large format tile collection, offering oversized porcelain tiles and slabs that minimize grout lines and create seamless, contemporary surfaces. Available in our Richmond showroom.

Quiet, threadlike veining over a calm base gives Elyt a restrained elegance that works where bolder marble looks would compete with the room. Offered in 120 x 60 and 120 x 120 cm porcelain panels with non-repeating faces, it delivers a refined stone effect that stays subtle even across a large floor. The Polished finish brings out its gentle depth; Natural keeps things understated.

Because it is porcelain, Elyt asks almost nothing in return: no sealing, negligible water absorption, and easy cleaning with plain water or a neutral cleaner. That suits busy Vancouver-area households and condos where surfaces need to look composed year after year. Thickness options from 6 mm to 12 mm cover everything from feature walls to hardworking floors.

Applications

Where Elyt Works

Condo and townhouse floors

The soft pattern and 120 x 120 cm format make compact interiors feel larger and calmer, with far fewer grout lines than standard tile to interrupt the floor plane.

Full-height shower surrounds

Two 120 x 60 cm panels can wrap most shower walls with a single horizontal joint. Non-porous porcelain resists soap residue and wipes back to clean easily.

Kitchen wall panels

Run a slab behind the range or along the full backsplash line for a seamless, wipeable surface where grease and splatter would collect in grout joints.

Dining and hallway floors

Subtle veining hides everyday dust between cleanings, and the dense floor-rated thickness at 12 mm handles chair legs, pets and steady foot traffic without showing its age year after year.

Design Notes

Pairing & Layout Ideas

Elyt is a natural supporting act as well as a lead. Pair it with a more expressive slab like Invictus or Bayona on a feature wall while Elyt holds the floor, or run it wall to wall in a spa-style bathroom with warm wood vanities and soft white fixtures. A closely matched grout keeps the surface serene; a slightly darker grout adds gentle definition if you prefer to see the panel grid.

FAQ

Elyt Questions

Is Elyt too plain for a feature wall?

Not at all. Its subtle veining reads as calm rather than blank, and the non-repeating faces stop it from looking printed. On a large wall the quiet pattern and minimal joints do the work, especially in the Polished finish under good lighting.

Which thickness do I need for floors versus walls?

Use the thicker end of the 6 mm to 12 mm range for floors, where impact and point loads matter. The thinner panels are lighter and easier to handle vertically, making them well suited to walls, surrounds and cladding over sound substrates.

How do I clean polished porcelain?

Warm water and a neutral pH cleaner cover almost every situation. Skip wax, oil soaps and abrasive pads, which can dull the polish or leave films. Because porcelain does not absorb liquids, spills sit on the surface until you wipe them away.

Does Elyt work with underfloor heating?

Yes. Porcelain conducts and holds warmth well, which makes it a common choice over electric or hydronic radiant systems. Confirm your installer follows the heating manufacturer's mortar and curing guidelines before the system is switched on for the first time.
