Patmos
Refined marble look in oversized porcelain.

Patmos
Patmos is part of our premium large format tile collection, offering oversized porcelain tiles and slabs that minimize grout lines and create seamless, contemporary surfaces. Available in our Richmond showroom.
There is a middle ground between plain and dramatic, and Patmos sits squarely in it: a refined marble look with measured veining that adds interest without stealing every glance. The porcelain panels come in 120 x 60 and 120 x 120 cm with non-repeating faces, so the pattern stays believable across large runs. Polished gives it a classic dress finish; Natural keeps it relaxed.
As porcelain, Patmos brings the practical qualities marble cannot: it will not etch from citrus or cosmetics, never needs sealing, and its near-zero absorption suits bathrooms and kitchens alike. Thickness options from 6 mm to 12 mm span wall cladding through hardworking floors, making it easy to carry one material through a whole Metro Vancouver renovation.

Applications
Where Patmos Works
Whole-home flooring
The balanced pattern is easy to live with everywhere, and running one 120 x 120 cm floor through kitchen, hall and living areas makes smaller homes feel continuous.
Primary bathroom walls
Polished Patmos on vanity and shower walls delivers the marble bathroom look, with the vanity wall enjoying full-height panels and almost no grout to maintain.
Kitchen backsplash slabs
One panel behind the cooktop replaces dozens of small tiles, giving a smooth, non-porous surface that wipes clean and lets the veining flow behind open shelving.
Stair landings and foyers
Dense 12 mm floor panels take the concentrated wear of entry zones, and the mid-strength veining hides tracked-in dust between cleanings better than a plain tile.
Design Notes
Pairing & Layout Ideas
Patmos flatters almost any palette, which makes it a dependable base layer. Set it against warm wood vanities and brushed gold for a soft classic scheme, or against matte black frames and white walls for something crisper. If one space wants extra theatre, introduce a bolder slab such as Padova or Invictus on a single feature wall while Patmos keeps the floors composed. Match the grout to the base tone for a seamless read.
FAQ
Patmos Questions
How strong is the veining on Patmos?
Moderate by design. It reads clearly as marble at a glance, but the veins are finer and more evenly spread than a dramatic statement slab. That balance is why it works across large floors without tiring the eye. Viewing a full panel gives the truest impression.
Can I use the same tile on floors and walls?
Yes, and it is one of the format's strengths. Specify the heavier thickness for floors and the lighter panels for walls, keep the finish consistent or mix Natural floors with Polished walls, and the room reads as a single enveloping surface.
Is Polished porcelain safe for bathroom floors?
We steer Polished toward walls and dry floors. When soap and water are involved, the Natural finish offers noticeably more grip and is the finish we recommend underfoot in bathrooms and showers. The two finishes are close enough in tone to combine in one room.
How much extra material should I order?
Plan roughly ten percent over your measured area for cuts, layout balancing and a few spares for the future. Large format panels produce bigger offcuts, and keeping spare pieces from the same production run matters because later runs can vary slightly in tone.
