Parsel

Parsel is part of our premium large format tile collection, offering oversized porcelain tiles and slabs that minimize grout lines and create seamless, contemporary surfaces. Available in our Richmond showroom.

Parsel channels raw geology: an expressive stone face with dramatic mineral character, produced on large format porcelain. Across the 120 x 60 and 120 x 120 cm panels, non-repeating faces carry shifting structure and depth, closer to a split boulder than a polite marble. It is a texture-forward look that gives interiors a grounded, elemental quality, in Natural or Polished finish.

The material underneath is thoroughly domesticated. Porcelain absorbs essentially no water, resists staining and scratching, and needs no sealing, ever. That means Parsel's wild character can surface in bathrooms, kitchens and high-traffic halls of Metro Vancouver homes and commercial spaces, delivering the drama of expressive stone with the maintenance profile of a fired tile.

Applications

Where Parsel Works

Elemental feature walls

One wall of dramatic stone character changes a room's temperature entirely. Lighter panels near 6 mm clad framed walls and chimney breasts cleanly and without excessive weight.

Grounded living floors

In the Natural finish, the expressive face makes a 120 x 120 cm floor feel quarried in place, and the busy pattern is generous about hiding daily life.

Dramatic wet rooms

Porcelain's non-porous face suits full-immersion bathrooms and daily steam. Wrap the walls in Parsel and keep the floor surfaces in the grip-friendlier Natural finish for safety.

Lobby and corridor floors

Commercial circulation zones benefit from strong pattern that masks wear between maintenance cycles, with 12 mm floor panels rated for the constant traffic these spaces absorb daily.

Design Notes

Pairing & Layout Ideas

Parsel's drama reads most clearly against calm, tactile companions: lime-washed walls, chunky wood, wool and leather, black steel details. Within the large format family, a serene partner like Eternal or Nexside lets adjoining floors breathe while Parsel takes the focal role. Draw the grout colour from the mid-tones of the face so joints dissolve into the pattern, and light the surface at an angle where possible; raking light is what makes expressive faces perform.

FAQ

Parsel Questions

What does dramatic stone character mean in practice?

Expect visible structure: strong mineral movement, tonal shifts and depth in the face rather than a smooth even field. Panels differ genuinely from one another because faces do not repeat, so an installed wall or floor carries the varied energy of natural split stone.

Is Parsel better on walls or floors?

It performs on both. Walls display the character most theatrically, especially with directional lighting, while floors gain a grounded, organic quality and excellent tolerance for visible mess. The thickness range covers each use; just match the heavier panels to floor duty.

Will the surface feel rough underfoot?

No, the drama is visual. Both finishes present a smooth, easy-to-clean face; Natural has a soft honed feel and better wet grip, Polished a reflective sheen for dry areas and walls. Neither traps dirt the way genuinely rough natural stone can.

How do I evaluate a collection this varied before buying?

See multiple panels, not a single chip. Our Richmond showroom sets out large pieces so you can judge how the variation plays across an area, and staff can note which faces appear in current stock. A dry layout on site remains the final check.
