Where most subway tile is either dead flat or heavily handmade, Monpelli lands between: a European ceramic wall tile with a refined, lightly worked surface in Ash, White and further tones. The texture is subtle enough for minimal interiors but present enough to move light around a wall. It comes in a range of subway formats with glossy and matte finishes.
An 8mm ceramic body keeps the tile light, simple to cut and quick to set on any sound interior wall, which keeps installation costs sensible even on large feature walls. Vertical or horizontal stack bond suits its modern character, giving clean continuous lines. Traditional running bond works too and reads slightly more relaxed. Because the texture does the visual work, busier patterns like herringbone are usually unnecessary with this particular tile.
Is Monpelli suitable for shower floors?
No. It is an 8mm ceramic wall tile, so it belongs on shower walls and surrounds, not underfoot. For the shower floor itself, use a mosaic or a floor-rated porcelain; we can match one to Monpelli's Ash and White tones.
