Larchwood Wall Tile
Realistic Wood Look In Ceramic Wall Tile.

Larchwood Wall Tile
Larchwood brings the warmth of natural wood grain to wall surfaces in a ceramic format.
Timber figuring moves onto the wall with Larchwood, a ceramic wall tile printed with realistic wood grain in three tones: pale Maple, mid-brown Alder and deep, coffee-dark Ipe. The faces are non-repeating, so boards vary across a wall the way real sawn timber does, and the tile comes in matte or gloss finishes at a slim 0.8cm thickness.
Real wood struggles in bathrooms and behind stoves; ceramic does not care about steam, splashes or scrubbing. That is Larchwood's role: the warmth of timber in the places wood cannot go. As a wall tile it is light, easy to cut and quick to install on any sound wall surface. It suits spa-style bathrooms, kitchen accents and feature walls in homes and businesses across Greater Vancouver.

Applications
Where Larchwood Wall Tile Works
Bathroom feature walls
A wood-look wall behind a freestanding tub or vanity brings spa warmth to a room where real timber would swell, stain and grow mildew in the steam.
Kitchen backsplashes
Behind counters and stoves, the grain adds warmth under cabinetry while the glazed ceramic surface wipes clean of grease and sauce splatter that would ruin real wood.
Shower and tub surrounds
Larchwood wraps wet zones in timber tones that tolerate constant water, something no sealed wood panelling can promise. Pair the matte finish with warm lighting for the most natural effect.
Commercial accent walls
Restaurants, salons and offices use wood-look walls for warmth without the maintenance questions solid wood cladding raises; ceramic installs once and simply gets wiped down each night.
Design Notes
Pairing & Layout Ideas
Treat Larchwood as the warm layer in a cooler room: it plays well against white fixtures, concrete-look surfaces and black hardware. Within the wall range, Asphalt Wall Tile supplies exactly that concrete counterpoint on adjacent walls, or a white Subway Wall Tile field can let a single Larchwood wall carry the room. Lay the boards horizontally to widen a narrow bathroom, vertically to lift a low ceiling, and keep grout tight and colour-matched to the wood tone.
FAQ
Larchwood Wall Tile Questions
Can Larchwood be used on floors?
No, this is a wall tile. At 0.8cm in a ceramic body it is made for vertical surfaces, not foot traffic. If you want matching wood tones underfoot, we can point you to wood-look porcelain collections that are rated for floors and coordinate well with it.
Which colour works in a small bathroom?
Maple keeps things light and Scandinavian, which most small or windowless bathrooms benefit from. Alder is the safe mid tone against white fixtures. Ipe is dramatic and works in smaller doses, a single accent wall or tub surround rather than the whole room.
Should I choose matte or gloss for a wood look?
Matte is the more convincing wood effect, since real timber rarely shines, and it hides water spots. Gloss reflects more light and reads as more decorative, useful in dark spaces. Both carry the same printed grain, so the choice is purely about finish.
Is Larchwood displayed in the showroom?
Yes, all three colours, Ipe, Alder and Maple, are on display at our Richmond showroom on Bridgeport Road, with samples available. Seeing a full panel of boards together shows the non-repeating variation far better than any single photo. Walk-ins are welcome.
