Carrara Mosaic
Classic Carrara marble in mosaic format.

Carrara Mosaic
Carrara mosaic tiles bring the timeless elegance of Carrara marble into smaller mosaic formats perfect for shower floors, niches, backsplashes, and decorative accents. Available in 1x1 and 2x2 formats.
Carrara Mosaic scales the soft grey-on-white marbling of Carrara down to 1x1 and 2x2 inch chips, mounted on 12x12 sheets for fast, even installation. It is the piece that finishes a marble-look bathroom: the shower floor, the niche, the accent band.
The chips are porcelain rather than natural marble, which matters most exactly where mosaics get used. Shower floors live in standing water and cleaning products; porcelain takes both without sealing, etching or darkening over time.

Applications
Where Carrara Mosaic Works
Shower floors
Small chips mean the sheet flexes over the slope to the drain, and the dense grid of grout joints gives real traction underfoot. This is the single most popular use for this collection.
Shower niches and accent bands
A niche lined in Carrara Mosaic reads as a jewel box moment inside a plainer surround, at the cost of only a sheet or two.
Backsplashes
The 2x2 format makes a quietly textured kitchen or vanity backsplash that pairs with marble look counters without pattern-matching anxiety.
Small bathroom floors
In powder rooms and compact ensuites, a mosaic floor adds interest and grip where a large tile would need many cuts.
Design Notes
Pairing & Layout Ideas
The natural partner is our Carrara field tile collection, which shares the same white and grey palette in sizes up to 24x48; run the large format on walls and main floors and drop to the mosaic in the shower. It also works under brighter white tiles like Statuario looks, with chrome or black fixtures, and with pale oak vanities.
FAQ
Carrara Mosaic Questions
Why use mosaic on a shower floor instead of a bigger tile?
Two reasons: the small chips follow the floor's slope to the drain smoothly, and the many grout lines act like a tread pattern for slip resistance. Large tiles on a shower floor need special cutting and offer less grip.
How do the sheets come?
Chips are pre-mounted on 12x12 inch sheets in your choice of 1x1 or 2x2 chip sizes. Sheets install like a single tile, keeping spacing perfectly even.
Is this real Carrara marble?
No, it is a porcelain mosaic with the Carrara look. Real marble in a shower needs sealing and can etch from cleaners; porcelain gives you the same visual with none of that maintenance.
Is there a matching wall or floor tile?
Yes. Our Carrara porcelain collection shares the same palette in 12x24, 24x24 and 24x48 sizes, so you can carry one consistent marble look across the whole bathroom. Both are on display in the Richmond showroom.
