Metro Mosaic
Concrete industrial look mosaic tiles.

Metro Mosaic
Metro mosaic tiles deliver an urban concrete aesthetic in small-format mosaic pieces, ideal for shower floors, kitchen backsplashes, and feature accents.
Metro Mosaic takes the urban concrete look of the Metro collection and breaks it into small-format mosaic pieces for showers, backsplashes and accent surfaces. Four colourways, Silver, Sabbia, Beige and Dark Grey, cover the span from pale industrial grey to warm sand, and the non-repeating pattern keeps installed sheets from looking stamped out of the same mould.
Being porcelain, the chips are unaffected by standing water, soap and household cleaners, and they never need sealing. That makes Metro Mosaic a sensible pick for Vancouver condos and laneway homes chasing a modern, warehouse-inspired bathroom, where a concrete finish is wanted but real cement would be porous and high maintenance in a wet room.

Applications
Where Metro Mosaic Works
Shower floors
The small pieces conform to the slope of a shower base, and the tight grid of grout joints adds grip underfoot. The matte finish keeps its traction even when soaped up.
Kitchen backsplashes
A concrete look mosaic gives a kitchen wall subtle texture without competing with countertops. Dark Grey reads sharp against white cabinets, while Sabbia and Beige warm up cooler palettes.
Shower niches
Lining a recessed niche in a contrasting Metro colour turns a simple shampoo shelf into a deliberate design moment, and a single sheet usually covers the whole back panel.
Laundry and mudroom accents
Utility spaces take splashes, detergent and grit all year. A band of matte porcelain mosaic behind a sink or along a bench handles all three and wipes clean quickly.

Pairing & Layout Ideas
The obvious match is the Metro field tile collection, which carries the same concrete palette in full-size formats, so you can run large tile on the walls and drop to mosaic on the shower floor. It also sits well beside the Concrete and Techstone collections, matte black plumbing fixtures, and flat-panel cabinetry. Choose a grout close to the chip colour for a seamless industrial surface, or a shade darker to emphasize the grid.
FAQ
Metro Mosaic Questions
What sizes does Metro Mosaic come in?
This collection is produced in a range of mosaic formats rather than one fixed chip size, and availability varies by colour. Tell us which colourway you are considering and we can confirm the current formats and sheet dimensions for it before you plan a layout.
Is the matte finish slippery in a shower?
Matte porcelain plus the many grout joints of a mosaic is one of the more secure combinations you can put in a shower. The joints act like a tread pattern underfoot, which is exactly why mosaics are the standard choice for shower floors.
Does Metro Mosaic need sealing?
No. Porcelain is fired to near-zero absorption, so the tile itself never needs sealing. If you choose a cement-based grout, sealing the grout lines is worthwhile in wet areas, or use a stain-resistant grout and skip that step as well.
Can I match it to a larger tile?
Yes. The Metro field collection shares the same colours in full-size tiles, so a shower can run large format on the walls with the mosaic underfoot. Both lines are displayed together at the showroom, so it is easy to compare colours side by side.
