StoneMood CX Mosaic

StoneMood CX Mosaic offers the refined stone aesthetic of the StoneMood collection in a 2x2 square mosaic format. The silver tones and matte finish create elegant, understated accent surfaces.

Understated is the word for StoneMood CX Mosaic. The 2x2 glazed porcelain chips carry the refined stone surface of the StoneMood collection in two close neutrals, Silver and Grey, mounted on 12x12 sheets. Non-repeating faces give the tight palette its life, letting soft mineral variation move across a floor or niche without an obvious pattern.

An 8mm porcelain body and matte finish make it a working product rather than a delicate one: shower pans, wet walls and backsplashes are all within its remit, with no sealing at any point. For Metro Vancouver bathrooms built on restraint, quiet greys, clean lines and minimal contrast, it is a dependable finishing piece.

Applications

Where StoneMood CX Mosaic Works

Sloped shower pans

Sheets take the fall toward the drain without lippage, and the frequent grout lines give a matte, secure footing that a large tile cannot match in a pan.

Shower niches

A niche in the same tone as the walls keeps a minimalist shower calm, while a niche one shade deeper adds gentle definition. Either way, one sheet usually does it.

Tub surrounds

The small format wraps tub decks, steps and ledges cleanly, keeping the stone surface continuous around corners where a large tile would need numerous cuts and exposed edges.

Laundry backsplashes

Above a laundry sink or folding counter, the quiet grey texture handles splashes and detergent without fuss and stays visually calm in a hardworking room of the house.

Design Notes

Pairing & Layout Ideas

The StoneMood CX field collection extends the identical surface into large formats, and the standard recipe is big tile on the walls with this mosaic in the pan and niche. Grey Wind Mosaic is the more expressive alternative from the same format family if one bathroom in the house wants extra movement. Chrome, brushed nickel and matte black hardware all pair without conflict, and pale counters keep the greys from going heavy. Match grout to chip tone for the quietest result.

FAQ

StoneMood CX Mosaic Questions

What is the difference between Silver and Grey?

Silver is the lighter of the two, a pale cool neutral, while Grey sits a step deeper as a true mid grey. They are close enough to combine in one room, and walls in Silver with a Grey pan is a common way to split them.

Is it only for bathrooms?

No. It is rated for indoor floors and walls generally, so kitchen backsplashes, laundry rooms, fireplace surrounds and entry insets are all reasonable uses. The shower is simply where the mosaic format offers the most functional advantage over larger tile.

How do the sheets handle a linear drain?

Very well. Sheets are trimmed straight along the drain edge, which is simpler than the radial cuts a round drain needs. Linear drains and 2x2 mosaic pans are a common pairing in curbless shower designs for exactly that reason.

Can I get a sample before ordering?

Yes, both colours are stocked as display sheets at our Richmond location, and you are welcome to borrow samples to check under your own lighting. Grey tones shift with light temperature, so an at-home check against your counters is worth the trip.
