Onix Pearl

Onix Pearl captures the breathtaking translucence and rich colour of natural onyx stone. With green and pearl tones that seem to glow from within, this collection creates show-stopping feature walls and luxury surfaces.

Natural onyx is prized for colour that seems lit from inside, and Onix Pearl chases exactly that effect in glazed porcelain. The polished finish deepens the glow across two colourways, a rich Green and a soft Pearl, and the non-repeating faces let the flowing pattern wander across a wall the way real onyx does, in 24x24 and 24x48 formats.

Onyx itself is fragile, porous and expensive; porcelain removes all three objections. Onix Pearl needs no sealing, resists stains, and handles daily life at 8mm thickness. It is a natural fit for the feature moments in Metro Vancouver homes and venues, powder rooms, bar fronts, fireplace surrounds and bathroom walls that want something beyond a white marble look.

Where Onix Pearl Works

Feature walls

This is the collection's home turf. A polished onyx wall behind a vanity, bed or bar catches light from every angle and changes character through the day.

Powder rooms

Small rooms take bold tile well. Wrapping a powder room in Green Onix Pearl turns the smallest room in the house into the one guests mention on the way out.

Backsplashes and bar fronts

The polished surface wipes clean of splashes and fingerprints, and the onyx pattern gives kitchens and entertainment areas a focal point without any shelf styling required.

Dry-area floors

On bedroom, closet or living floors that stay dry, the polished tile reads like a stone gallery floor. Keep it off shower and bathroom floors, where a matte tile is the safer choice.

Design Notes

Pairing & Layout Ideas

Treat Onix Pearl as the jewellery of the room and keep its neighbours simple. Pearl pairs with warm whites, travertine tones and brushed gold; Green sits beautifully against black cabinetry, walnut and antique brass. A wash of light from above makes the polished surface perform. For the surrounding floor, a quiet matte stone look such as Stonelab or Lounge Stone lets the feature wall keep the spotlight.

FAQ

Onix Pearl Questions

Can I use Onix Pearl in a shower?

On the walls, yes, porcelain is completely at home in wet areas and the polished faces are striking in a glass-enclosed shower. For the shower floor choose a matte mosaic from another collection instead, since polished tile underfoot in standing water is too slick.

Does it come in matte?

No, this collection is polished only, and that is a deliberate choice: the reflective surface is what creates the glowing, translucent onyx effect. If you want the colour story with less sheen, we can suggest alternatives, but most people choose Onix Pearl precisely for the gloss.

How different are the Green and Pearl colourways?

Substantially. Green is saturated and dramatic, closer to a statement stone, while Pearl is soft, pale and easier to spread across a larger area. They share the same flowing onyx movement, so the decision is really about how much colour the room can carry.

Can it be backlit like natural onyx?

No, porcelain is opaque, so it will not transmit light the way thin-cut natural onyx panels can. The printed face recreates the visual depth instead. Well-aimed wall washers or sconce lighting raking across the polished surface produce a similar glowing effect at a fraction of the cost.
