Marmo CX
Dramatic dark marble in porcelain.

Marmo CX
Marmo CX captures the dramatic beauty of marble in a durable porcelain format. Available in both dark (Black/Morocco) and white (Thassos) variations, this collection offers bold veining and rich palettes for luxury interiors. The dark variant features deep tones ideal for statement surfaces, while the white variant brings bright, elegant marble aesthetics. Available in polished and matte finishes, with mosaic options for shower floors and accents.
Marmo CX covers both ends of the marble spectrum in one collection: a deep black with bold veining and a bright white in the Thassos tradition. Both come polished or matte with non-repeating faces, in 24x24 and 24x48 field sizes plus a 2x2 square mosaic, so a full bathroom can be specified from a single line.
Porcelain gives marble looks a practicality the quarry cannot: near-zero absorption, no sealing, and no etching from cosmetics or cleaning products. That makes Marmo CX a sound choice for hardworking bathrooms and kitchens in Metro Vancouver homes, and the black variant in particular delivers a statement wall or floor that would be costly and delicate in natural stone.

Applications
Where Marmo CX Works
Statement bathrooms
Black polished walls with a matte floor create a dramatic ensuite, or reverse the palette with white for a brighter take. The matching mosaic completes the shower pan.
Shower floors in mosaic
The 2x2 square mosaic puts a grout line every two inches, giving the traction and drainage slope a shower floor needs while staying in the same marble face.
Kitchen feature surfaces
A polished black backsplash or island face brings marble depth to a kitchen, wiping clean where natural marble would etch from lemon juice, vinegar and wine.
Matte marble floors
In matte, both colours work on kitchen, hall and bathroom floors, keeping the veined look underfoot with surer footing than a polished surface in wet rooms.
Design Notes
Pairing & Layout Ideas
Black and white marble looks are natural partners, and Marmo CX lets you run both from one collection: white field tile with a black mosaic niche, or a black floor below white walls. Brass and matte black hardware both work, and warm wood keeps the black from feeling severe. If you want black with gold veining specifically, compare Marquina CX next to it, since the two read quite differently in person.
FAQ
Marmo CX Questions
Should I use polished or matte on the bathroom floor?
Matte, in almost every case. Polished porcelain becomes slippery when wet, so we keep it for walls, vanity backsplashes and dry areas. For the shower pan itself, the 2x2 mosaic version is the standard approach because the extra grout lines act like tread.
Do the black and white tiles match as a set?
They are designed to work together. The two share the same sizes, finishes and mosaic format, so you can pair a white wall with a black accent band or checkerboard the 24x24 without mixing collections or dealing with thickness differences.
What sizes does Marmo CX offer?
Three formats: 24 x 24, 24 x 48, and a 2 x 2 square mosaic, in both colours. The 24x48 suits walls and open floors, the square handles smaller rooms, and the mosaic is intended for shower floors and accents.
How do I judge the veining before buying?
Veining is where photos mislead most, so look at full pieces. Displays and samples of Marmo CX are set up at our Richmond showroom, and because the faces are non-repeating, we can show you several different faces so you know the range of pattern you will receive.
