Calacatta Slab reproduces the bold veining of Calacatta marble on a 48x110 inch sintered stone panel, available with warm gold or cool white veining over a bright base. One slab covers an entire island, vanity or feature wall with the pattern flowing uninterrupted.
Sintered stone is made by compacting mineral surfaces under extreme heat and pressure, producing a 6mm panel that is remarkably hard, non-porous, and stable in sunlight. Unlike marble it does not etch or stain, and unlike many engineered surfaces it is rated for both indoor and outdoor use.

Where Calacatta Slab Works
Kitchen countertops and islands
Sintered stone takes hot pans, knives and wine spills without sealing or special care. The 48x110 format means many islands can be done with a single seam or none at all.
Feature walls and fireplaces
At 6mm thick the panels are light enough to clad a fireplace or media wall, delivering full-height marble drama without structural work.
Bathroom vanities and shower walls
Non-porous means no staining from cosmetics and no harbouring of mould in a steamy ensuite. Large panels also mean fewer grout joints to maintain.
Outdoor kitchens and BBQ surrounds
UV stability sets sintered stone apart from most quartz surfaces, which are not rated for sun exposure. Calacatta Slab keeps its colour outdoors.

Calacatta Slab Questions
What is the difference between sintered stone and quartz?
Quartz surfaces bind stone particles with resin, which can scorch from hot pans and fade outdoors. Sintered stone is fused from minerals with no resin, so it is more heat resistant and UV stable, and it can be used outside.
Can Calacatta Slab really handle hot pots and knives?
Sintered stone is highly heat and scratch resistant and it is one of its core advantages over resin-based counters. As with any premium surface, we still recommend trivets and cutting boards to keep the finish pristine for decades.
What size are the slabs?
48x110 inches at 6mm thickness, in polished or matte finishes with gold or white veining. The oversize format is what allows islands, walls and vanities with minimal seams.
